I recently bought this drier after my attempts to make a dry box did not work out. Humidity in a basement and its effects on even PLA is no joke. Basically the filament would start having unacceptable clogs after about a week (select gaps of layers looking very poor). While looking like essentially Tupperware, the drier does exactly as it says on the box. It dries out the filament, might take a bit longer in "higher-than-optimal-humidity", but it fixed weeks of humidity damage to the filament (32hrs initially to repair that damage). Basically a 1/3 roll of filament that I thought was a lost cost was able to be used again and figure it will pay for itself in another few months. Rather than keep it on all the time I just put it on for 5hours a day to keep filament good to go. Cons (not really): No thermometer, or humidity sensor on the device. To let the evaporation of the humidity out there are holes (to let filament out too) all over the box which will let humidity back in after its off. The option to close these holes with plugs while its off would have been nice? Pros: I mean, its basically an dehydrator/easy-bake oven. It works, saves an estimated $10+ each roll in formerly wasted filament (I print .3mm, it needs to be dry). I do LOVE the rollers inside. Sure some assembly required but the filament will rotate almost too well. Just remember to put the rubber plugs that the filament passes through on the inside (not outside). Otherwise the metal washer each hole is made up of will heat up too much right next to the filament. I have only had this a week so I will have to have more time to test its longevity (the fan and heater of course). Also I only print with PLA (lowest heat temp) so I can only vouch for that setting.

Print dry sent me a new base under warranty. They were really great and fast with their service. I’m really pleased.

Update to my first review a year ago. It worked very well, though it was quite loud, for a year. I was very happy with it. Ordered it 01 Nov 2020. Today is 07 Nov 2021. A few weeks before the 1 year warranty expired the fan started to get a lot louder. 1 week after the warranty expired the unit stopped working altogether. I have sent a query for fixing the unit to PrintDry.com. We will see what they say. I suspect the fan bearings are shot but don’t want to open the unit until I hear back from PrintDry. I was happy with its operation but am not happy with the longevity.

Received this unit today. Shipped quickly from 3D printing Canada, shipper DHL not bad for transport time either. Installed the dryer beside my Ender 3 V2 and started drying two spools, a bit of left over filament unspooled and some dessicant. Set temperature at 65°C. As you can see from the photo I ran a temperature sensor around various points in the dryer. Temperature varied from 64°C to 68°C. So I am very happy with the dryer's ability to hold the temperature. The fan is pretty loud and it cycles in speed as it works to control the temperature. But that is secondary to it blowing air and keeping a good temperature. Also the filament outlets are a good height for feeding into the Ender 3 V2 with a straight run.
