Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack Series build plate for PLA and PETG

The Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack Series is a spring steel build plate with a specially designed coating. It delivers reliable surface adhesion, a durable printing surface, and a natural texture that helps hide the bottom surface of printed parts.

Key features of the SuperTack coating

  • Reliable adhesion: The coating provides ultra-strong adhesion to PLA and PETG filaments, even at lower heatbed temperatures.
  • Durable performance: The coating retains its sticky properties after extensive use and is described as having less than 20% adhesion loss after 300 prints.
  • Surface finish: The coating can impart a smooth, matte bottom surface that blends better with other surfaces.
  • Lower bed heat: The product requires only an extremely low heatbed temperature to keep printed objects attached securely.
  • Easy print removal: Prints can be lifted with the scraper included with the printer, and a 50°C heatbed setting can help if parts are stuck too tightly.

Printing use cases

The Cool Plate SuperTack Series suits everyday PLA and PETG printing, including larger objects where reduced warping is beneficial. The lower heatbed temperature can also help reduce energy use during heating.

For users working with less-than-perfect build surfaces, the plate is designed to perform well on surfaces that are in bad shape. The wiping area is used before auto-leveling to remove residue from the nozzle tip, and the coating in that area will wear over time as part of normal use.

Important material and care notes

  • TPU filament should not be used because it will damage the build plate.
  • Bambu PLA Silk is not recommended on the SuperTack build plate because it can adhere strongly and damage printed models.
  • The surface is soft, so care is needed when using a scraper to remove printed parts.
  • The build plate can be cleaned with water and detergent if heavy dirt appears.
  • Organic solvents, especially acetone, should not be used because they will damage the SuperTack surface.

Setup and printer handling

The product is listed for A2L, X2D, P2S, H2C, H2S, H2D, A1, P1 Series, and X1 Series printers. For X2D and P2S users, Build Plate Position Detection should be disabled in Settings -> Print Options -> Enable the detection of build plate position when printing with the Cool Plate SuperTack to avoid error reports.

Built for multiple print sizes

The SuperTack build plate supports different usable print sizes depending on the printer model: 256*256mm, 350*320mm, and 330*320mm. The plate uses a specially designed coating on a spring steel base for magnetic installation and everyday 3D printing use.
