The taller Big Meter platform also includes several accessibility-focused features by default:

• Tilt screen – mounted on an articulated arm for easier viewing and control access at different working heights, and useful during calibration when observing print head behaviour
• Frontal secondary power switch – convenient when the printer is installed in a tight corner or between other equipment
• Large secondary reset button – improves access to the reset control

Improved Z axis stability and end-stop accuracy

Generation 4 Modix printers use stronger NEMA-23 motors and CNC-machined brackets on the Z axis. This construction holds the bed more firmly and supports a higher level of accuracy.

End-stop switches have also been upgraded to optical switches across Generation 4 printers. Optical end-stops provide improved accuracy and repeatability over time, which is particularly important for job recovery after a power outage.

Improved PTFE tube routing for reduced friction

The Generation 4 platform improves PTFE management by routing the PTFE tube through a roller guide. Keeping the tube in a more relaxed position helps reduce friction inside the tube.
