Doesn't need tons of retraction distance (mine is 0.25mm distance, 50mm/s retraction speed)

Great quality with precision machining. This is a high quality kit. Install didn’t take too long. Be sure to print any parts before you start. Good YouTube videos to follow. And it works great. Setting the mm/pulse must be done. So far no problems. Definitely would recommend.

I got the all metal hot end and extruder for my Ender 3 V2 (Note: You will need to print a replacement fan shroud before installing). The plug-n-play installation was very simple and everything works great! My only regret was buying this a week before it went on sale :(

The microswiss direct drive is great, so great that I bought another for my ender 3 v2! Combined with bltouch and a PEI spring steel sheet I have achieved quite repeatable results with my printing. I can also print at higher speeds, usually running around 80mm/s. The all metal hotend has also been useful when printing filaments like PETG.

If you wish to do this mod, you will need a longer gt2 belt for the extruder.

This is not "Simple Plug and Play"
this kit comes with just the brackets, no stepper motor (as shown in photo). Be prepared to spend a few hours modifying your printer to make this work.

my oem filament drive tensioner broke on my ender 3 v2 which moved up my plan to go direct drive. the Micro Swiss unit was and easy install and there were plenty of folks on youtube with how to videos for install and tuning. In my case the ender 3 v2 fan shroud isn't compatible with the new Micro Swiss base plate so remember to print your replacement fan shroud a head of time. I was able to temporarily adapt mine oem fan shroud to the base plate well enough to print the first version of the new fan shroud.

Shipping was super fast. This direct drive kit was nice and easy to get up and running and results are fantastic. Very satisfied with my purchase. While it is on the expensive side, you do get what you pay for, this is very reliable and can print higher temps and more flexible filaments.

Nice addition to my Ender 3. The installation went well. I printed the fan support before I started removing the old one. I had to adjust some parameters like positions offset, retraction, steps/mm. There are a lot of ressources on the internet to help make these adjustments.

At ninety-five years old it is not always easy to make major changes to your 3d printer. in this case, the installation went very smoothly and works like a charm. I would recommend it to anyone that needs a good hot end for their printer.

Well made unit with good written installation instructions. I did also use an on-line video for extra help.
Very minor quibble, it didn't fit perfectly with my Ender MAX but to be fair, I checked the fine print and it didn't say it supported it. "Making it fit" was not difficult and it only required drilling extra holes to fit the the fan from the MAX unit plus adjusting the auto home. Maybe you could accommodate us MAX users going forward?
Other than that, very happy with the unit!

This was a really nice upgrade to my CR-10 MAX. Had to print a couple of parts to make it completely compatible with my printer but the folks at 3D Printing Canada were great at helping me out. No more 600 mm of bowden tube to deal with.

My very first stringing test print with this thing was almost perfect! It looks way way better than my best stringing test print on my bowden Ender 5+. You can really tell the quality of the mounting plate, and every single piece, screw, nut etc with this bad boy. Only downside is now i wanna spend more money and get one of these for my 5+ lol

A must have set up for any Creality CR series. The factory extruder is junk on these machines. I was impressed with Micro Swiss' performance on my bowden fed MS extruder, so I thought I would give the direct set up a try. The extrusions are wicked consistent now and it actually sickens me that this $1400(total cost) CR set up now produces equal or better prints than a certain $10000 printer. Set E-steps to 134 with Pronterface, re-level bed and she's good to go. Easy install of hardware (ten minutes if you're organized, 1 hour if you're not). Love this extruder set up so much I outfitted both of my two S5's, even though one of them already has a Bowden fed Micro Swiss set up. Direct extruder is the perfect arrangement for this platform and it seems Creality is aware of this fact with their latest direct extruder line of CR's.

By far one of the best things that you can buy. I am very tempted to add these to all my printers. This took a cheap entry level printer and brought it up to the standards close to the more expensive models. This mod WILL allow you to print tpe85a no problem

I cannot say enough good things about this direct drive/hotend combo. It has been totally problem free, and so far I haven't found a filament I couldn't print (although I have not tried the really exotic stuff due to bed temp limitations). TOP NOTCH! :D

Beautifully made piece. Physical install is straight forward. Recompiling Marlin is a bit of work to figure out what changes are needed. Would be great if manufacturer gave the exact instructions for recompiling.
