Filament Spectrum AquaPrint

Excellent solubility in cold water

AquaPrint is a water-soluble support material designed for complex multi-extrusion 3D printing. AquaPrint boasts a flow rate almost four times higher in comparison to PVA based support filaments and reduces dissolving time in water by half. However, the standout feature of AquaPrint is its exceptional adhesion to different materials like PLA, PETG, PA and TPU, offering twice the bonding strength compared to PVA.

AquaPrint exhibits excellent solubility in cold water and exceptional thermal stability. It can be printed at lower temperatures, making it the ideal support material and ensuring excellent adherence.

AquaPrint stands out with its greater structural rigidity compared to other support filaments, notably PVA. This characteristic significantly enhances material transfer from the extruder to the Hot End, particularly in Bowden extruder systems. This robust structural integrity also allows for the creation of solid supports, resulting in a superior final surface finish for your 3D-printed pieces.

Users with dual extruder 3D printers can seamlessly combine AquaPrint with various materials, thanks to its straightforward printing configuration. Once your print is complete, AquaPrint's biodegradability allows for responsible disposal through standard wastewater sinks (according to local regulations).

The use of AquaPrint as a water-soluble support material enables the 3D printing of intricate structures, including those with moving parts, all in a single piece and with exceptional quality.

Key features:

  • Excellent cold water solubility
  • Biodegradable, allowing for responsible disposal through standard wastewater sinks
  • Great structural rigidity
  • Flow rate nearly 4x higher than PVA-based support filaments
  • Exceptional thermal stability, minimizing the likelihood of crystallization within the nozzle
  • Perfect bonding to different materials (PLA, PETG, PA, TPU)

Applications:

  • Complex geometries that require support material

Packaging

Filament is reeled on the neat, transparent spool. Each spool contains information on the type of material, diameter and recommended printing temperature. Filament is vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber. Whole product packed in the original, folied Spectrum Filaments packaging.

VERIFY YOUR SPOOL – the most precise quality control system on  the market

Filament for 3D printers is manufactured by the method of free extrusion, which is one of the most difficult processing techniques by extrusion, due to the particularly significant impact of process parameters on product dimensions and material homogenization.

During the production each 1mm of Spectrum Filament is being continuously measured in 2 axes with ±0.8µm accuracy, which allow obtaining a high-quality final product. To prove this, Spectrum Filaments, as one of the few manufacturers in the world, has introduced the possibility of online presentation, individually for each manufactured spool:

  • the course of diameter on the entire length of the spool,
  • mean diameter,
  • ovality,
  • standard deviation.

Precise survey guarantees that Spectrum Filaments products meet rigorous market requirements.
