My original piece broke, this was a perfect replacement however you can not change the pinion gear on a stock ender 3 pro (not the V2) without changing the drive gear

Unfortunately i have the early version of the creality ender 3, I couldnt use the new feed gear, because removing the old one off the stepper motor would probably damage it. But I was able to upgrade the piece that had broken with the new housing and hardware, using the old gear from before still works. So 10/10 it did what i needed it to do, and its much stronger than the plastic extruder i was using before, Also definately improved my prints cuz now everything is feeding much better.

Just wish it had an assembly diagram. Forgot to put one screw in. But i installed it and it works great.

Hello, I recently purchased the “Official Creality All Metal Extruder Mechanism “ (AM 1000).
Instead of being able to screw the stock filament coupler into the mechanism, there is a
plastic Bowden Collet. I think this seems to invalidate the “All Metal' part of All Metal Extruder Mechanism.
So, help me if I’m wrong…push the Collet into the Mechanism, push the Bowden Tube into
the Collet as far as possible. Pull the Collet out far enough to clip on the retaining ring…
and away we go. Doesn’t that leave a space between the mechanism and the Collet?
Printed a 12 hr test last night and everything worked well. So, functionally, I have no complaint.
But, here’s the deal, the original plastic Mechanism has a metal thread insert that screws into
a standard metal Coupler. There’s a good chance I could damage the Collet if it ever needed to be removed.
I’ve ordered extra Collets. So I guess my problem is that I’m a little disappointed. Internet demo
videos showed the “old” version that screwed in and that is what I assumed I was getting.
Anyway, I’m going with what I have and see what happens. You guys have been really good…
Just got my CR10 and it’s awesome.
thanks

Nice upgrade to my ender machines, performance and appearance. My only one complaint is the built in coupler for the ptfe tubing it would be nice to be able to put the coupler of your choice.

seems to work fine, but i did notice that this model does not have threaded push lock connector for PTFE bowden tubing attachment, where as other do. This model has black plastic sleeve and plastic clip to secure bowden tubing, which seems cheep to me.

Have not received it yet

The original extrusion mechanism on my Ender 5S actually broke at the idler bearing and will probably need to be replacement on most printers eventually. (I would pay more for a printer with all the common upgrades factory installed.) Installation is simple. Just lay out the components and reverse the steps used to dis-assemble the unit being replaced. There are lots of videos on the subject and it should not be intimidating. Once installed, the feeder was noticeably easier to feed

Great replacement on my Ender 3. I was having problems feeding filament and decided to take apart the original to see what was going on. Found out the original plastic one was cracked and replaced it with this all metal version. Works great and looks great on the machine. Installation was a little confusing, as there are no instructions and lots of little parts. But after looking at a picture of one already installed, I figured it out pretty quickly. very happy with my purchase. Always great service from 3D Printing Canada and at a very reasonable price.

The extruder plate for my Ender 3 broke. Replacing with this aluminum model only took a few minutes and works great.
