Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX 4-Tool & 8-Tool 3D Printer

The Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX is an enclosed CoreXY 3D printer with a dedicated toolchanger system for fast, low-waste multi-material and multi-colour 3D printing. Available with 4 or 8 tools, the INDX system gives each material its own nozzle, eliminating the need to repeatedly purge the active nozzle when changing materials.

With a 248 × 205 × 270 mm build volume, a chamber temperature of up to 55°C, a heated bed up to 120°C, and a maximum nozzle temperature of 300°C, the CORE One+ INDX is built for both everyday 3D printing and demanding engineering applications.

The assembled version arrives factory-built and tested, and 3D Printing Canada prepares each imported unit for the Canadian market.

Prusa INDX Toolchanger: 4 or 8 Dedicated Tools

The INDX toolchanger uses separate passive tools with dedicated nozzles rather than forcing every material through one shared nozzle.

This makes material changes fast and dramatically reduces the waste normally associated with multi-material printing. Prusa specifies approximately 12 seconds per colour change with around 0.013 g of waste per change.

Choose the configuration that fits your workflow:

4-Tool INDX

The 4-tool configuration provides four dedicated nozzles for multi-material or multi-colour printing. It is a practical choice for users who typically work with up to four materials or colours at once, including combinations such as a model material plus dedicated support material.

The assembled 4-tool version is pre-equipped for expansion to 8 tools.

8-Tool INDX

The 8-tool configuration provides the full capacity of the INDX system, allowing up to eight materials, colours or nozzle configurations to remain loaded and ready to use.

This is ideal for complex multi-material parts, multi-colour models, soluble or dedicated support materials, and workflows where changing filament spools manually would slow production.

Less Waste Without a Purge Tower

Traditional single-nozzle multi-material printers must flush one material from the nozzle before another material can be printed. Depending on the model, this can create substantial amounts of purge material and often requires a purge or wipe tower.

INDX uses a different approach. Each tool has its own nozzle, so the printer can switch between tools without flushing the previous material through the active nozzle.

Benefits include:

  • Approximately 12-second material changes

  • Approximately 0.013 g of waste per colour change

  • Dedicated nozzle for each loaded tool

  • No conventional purge tower required for material changes

  • Reduced material waste

  • Reduced risk of colour and material cross-contamination

  • Up to 8 materials or colours loaded and ready to print

The dedicated-tool design also makes it practical to combine materials with different properties, such as rigid and flexible filaments or model and support materials.

Enclosed CoreXY 3D Printer for Engineering Materials

The CORE One+ (Gen 2) provides a fully enclosed 248 × 205 × 270 mm build volume. Its controlled chamber environment helps reduce warping and improve print consistency when working with materials that benefit from elevated ambient temperatures.

The chamber can reach 55°C, while the heated print bed reaches up to 120°C and the nozzle reaches up to 300°C.

The CORE One+ INDX is designed for materials including:

  • PLA

  • PETG

  • ASA

  • ABS

  • Polycarbonate (PC)

  • Nylon / Polyamide (PA)

  • TPU

  • PVA

  • BVOH

  • Other compatible non-abrasive materials within the printer's temperature and material requirements

For lower-temperature materials such as PLA, smart ventilation helps manage the enclosed chamber and reduce heat-related issues.

Multi-Material Printing for Functional Parts

INDX is more than a multi-colour system. Dedicated tools make it possible to use different materials for different functions within the same print.

Examples include:

Rigid + flexible parts: Print a rigid structural component with TPU seals, grips, hinges or other flexible features.

Model + support materials: Keep dedicated support material loaded for complex geometries and easier support removal.

Engineering materials: Combine materials such as PC, ASA, Nylon and other compatible filaments for functional prototypes and technical parts.

Multi-colour models: Keep multiple colours loaded at once without repeatedly unloading and loading filament.

CoreXY Performance in a Compact Enclosure

The CORE One+ uses a CoreXY motion system designed for fast, precise movement while keeping the moving mass low. The fully enclosed design provides a stable printing environment without requiring the footprint of a large industrial 3D printer.

With automatic first-layer calibration using a load cell, a 3.5-inch touchscreen and support for multiple nozzle sizes, the CORE One+ INDX is designed to provide a straightforward workflow while retaining the flexibility expected from a professional Prusa 3D printer.

PrusaSlicer, EasyPrint and Offline Printing

The CORE One+ INDX works with PrusaSlicer, Prusa's full-featured slicing software for Windows, macOS and Linux.

For a simpler workflow, EasyPrint provides browser-based model preparation. The printer also supports Prusa Connect and the Prusa app for connected workflows.

There is no subscription required to keep printing, and Prusa provides software and firmware updates without recurring software fees.

The printer can also operate without a permanent Internet connection, making it suitable for private, workshop, educational and other environments where continuous cloud connectivity is not desirable.
