  • description

It is the latest all-rounder co-polyester 3D filament which is made from a mixture of Glycerol and PET. All other 3D filaments were not specifically designed for printing objects in 3D; they were repurposed for 3D printing.

Their original purpose was something entirely different whereas PETG is that category of thermoplastics which is specially developed for 3D printing.

Its key features have subtle differences as compared to its counterparts, but they make all the difference. It produces little to no odor during printing and has real strength combined with enhanced flexibility and durability.

It has better layer adhesion for improved surface finish and has a higher melting point than PLA. Another advantage is that is comes approved by the FDA for food contact.

It is ideal for building mechanical parts and has more flexibility than ABS, PLA and even PET. The general temperature range for this thermoplastic is 220-235C. It does not require a heating bed, and there is minor shrinkage after cooling. It is eco-safe and can be properly recycled. It rarely warps and is known for its clarity and bridging properties.

Filament straight out of the bag moisture content 85%.. had to purchase a sunlou dryer just to be able to use the filament from 3D Canada

Layer adhesion is terrible at all temperatures. Have tried everything must just have a bad batch if other reviews say it's good.

Printing a core XY printer with it. Have had no problems. Layerfused X301 On youtube. Makers mashup

I pretty much only use petg now. When I can find it on special or on sale I buy it instead of Pla. This was a good deal , and even though this is first time use I am happy with performance.
